our comments

Several words apply here: charming, rustic, welcoming. The menu is welcoming, too. We started with the beef carpaccio. We found the salami, provolone, and caramelized onion combination sandwich a particular delight. Pastas are distinguished, and you might want to splurge on the homemade gnocchi with fresh tomatoes and green olives, with smoked mozzarella. Also good: chicken breast stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes and beef tenderloin with truffled mashed potatoes. Take heed of the waiter’s warning when you order: Leave room for dessert. The ricotta cheesecake, a rarity in these parts and seemingly best done in New York’s Little Italy, is memorable.
