Bistrot Lepic & Wine Bar
our comments
This cheerful French restaurant has won the hearts of those lucky enough to live in the neighborhood. If you want to make sure that you can occupy one of the 40-odd seats, it’s best to call in advance, for the place fills up fast with faithful regulars. Chef-owner Bruno Fortin has constructed a menu that is short, direct and depends on seasonal fruits and vegetables. He prepares such interesting basics as onion tart or trout salad to start and follows with salmon in a potato crust and sautéed sea scallops. At lunchtime, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the spring garden salad with grilled shrimp.- April 2005

Best restaurant in DC. The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxed, just like at home and the food is to die for. Fabulous!
