When you need an infusion of French charm and culture, to say nothing of terrific cooking, select Bistro 123. The customers are chic, the décor very upscale French, and the food, a mix of French, Italian, and American influences. Thanks to the genius of chef-owner Raoul Jean-Richard, the menu sparkles with many unusual dishes. Look for such stars as his confit of duck leg with a truffle sauce, or if available, the veal sweetbreads. The elegant desserts are just as dazzling, including his silken crème brûlée. He has also selected a fine assortment of wines that pair well with his food

I think Mr Yuen that you do not know a good restaurant when you see one. Bistro 123 is not a Chinese restaurant. It is rated as a very good French restaurant serving French food and providing excellent service with affordable pricing. They were voted the best French restaurant in Fairfax County by their diners for many years. You were not serious in asking for free dessert and the server refused, we were seated beside you when the 5 of you were there.

Bistro 123 is home away from home. The food is excellent for all categories, appetizers are wonderful, entrees are extraordinarily great, desserts are uncomparably very good and even the coffees are excellent. The prices are reasonably affordable, they should price higher. The presentation, quality, and marrying of taste are credits to Chef Raoul Jean-Richard . The decor is elegant and classy yet warm and inviting. The service is professional yet friendly and welcoming. We have been to this place since they opened in Vienna 10 years ago. The new location is even better that the old restaurant. My husband, our kids and our friends travel a lot around the world to try good to excellent restaurants and this is our favorite place when we are home.

Nice restaurant with great decor, but

unfortunately you cannot tell that from

the store front. As far as the food is

a concerned, everyone in our group of (5)

concurred that it was tasteless and bland,

vegetables that accompanied the meal

was overcooked to the point of being slimy. The only redeeming factor was the

dessert and the attentative service by the waitstaff. We will not be returning

however, food did not live up to the price

compared to other french restaurants in

the area.
