our comments

With its expanded incarnation and funky all-Asian look, Spices is even more of a draw for its many regulars. Because it is related to the famed Yanÿu and Oodles Noodles, Spices makes for good Asian feasting that is consistently reliable and flavorful. Our favorite way to eat here is to launch the meal with sushi from the expanded sushi bar. Then head to a robust entrée, such as the Malaysian curry laksa, a souplike dish including coconut milk, vermicelli, sliced meat and squares of fried tofu. Noodles dishes are good, especially the chor koay teow, a Singaporean/Malaysian specialty made with flat rice noodles. Although noodle dishes are our favorites, the curries and grilled dishes are also notable.
