Tucked away in Virginia, this restaurant lives up to its name. Sunflowers are the theme. Sunflower prints are found on the walls, the table clothes, everywhere you look. The Sunflower is a nod to the 60s, with commune-type food and Asian overtones. Most dishes also offer a strong Japanese influence with vegetarian substitutions of ususally meat filled dishes. Expect to find General Tso’s Surprise made with soy protein and not chicken, Curry Paradise and Chinese ma po tofu – all vegetarian. It’s a vegetarian’s dream. The Sunflower is a quaint restaurant that can’t be missed- April 2005
