Woodlands has special charm despite its stark décor and cafeteria-style setting. Vivid Indian paintings decorate the walls. The abundant menu features mostly South Indian cuisine. Options include idli – steamed rice and lentil patties, masala dhosa – rice-flour crepe stuffed with potatoes and herbs. There is also the dinner special Mysore Royal Thali which includes appetizers and main dishes. Start with rasam, a traditional sour-spicy soup which has a broth that will wake up your taste buds. And of course the menu features desserts such as rasmalai, halvah, ice cream and payasam.- April 2005
