Somewhat like eating at a bargain-basement sale where everyone bangs against each other, lunchtimes at this Rosslyn eatery are anything but relaxing. So many people push into line that the sushi and other entrée choices begin to look a little frayed, the serving containers, a little empty. The menu is a mix of Chinese and Japanese stir-fries, sushi, rice, noodles, and dumplings, and considering that this is owned by the well-known local Japanese restaurant group, Matuba, it’s surprising that this is such a mix-and-match meal. But if you want bulk, bulk, and more bulk, you can starch yourself out here without many problems. And it’s kind to the pocketbook, especially at lunch. But a word to the wise: Come early, or you’ll be combating crowds.- April 2005
