Like at a bargain basement sale, customers attack the various counters as if everything will soon disappear. Instead, this buffet restaurant manages its constant supply of buffet items with regimental precision: Cooks bustle from the kitchen carrying filled trays as soon as those on the counters empty. And what a lavish amount of food: Chinese, Japanese, Mexican and American dishes (including drinks, salads, desserts and nonstop dim sum on weekends) overflow their containers before the onslaught of the crowds. It’s enough to feed several armies. In fact, it’s a feeding frenzy, with perhaps the best deals being the barbecued beef ribs and the dim sum offerings.
