Fashioned like a Japanese country inn, Makoto goes for the full Japanese experience including the requirement that all guests must take their shoes off and put on special slippers before entering the dining room. The meals themselves look so good, you’ll almost be afraid to eat them because they look like works of art, but once you start eating you’ll forget all your previous hesitations and there won’t be a spot left on your plate.- October 2004
